Vertical and Horizontal Laminar Flow Hoods

What are Vertical and Horizontal Laminar Flow Hoods?

Laminar flow hoods or clean benches offer filtered airflow across the work area, protecting the sample from contamination. Laminar Flow hoods are ideal for a range of applications that demand clean air and a sterile environment, such as numerous medical and research laboratories, sterile equipment assembly, and electronic device assembly.

The majority of laminar flow hoods come with either horizontal or vertical airflow. Clean filtered air travels downward from the filter surface on top to the work surface in vertical flow hoods. Clean air travels from a filter behind the work surface toward the operator in horizontal laminar flow cabinets. The kind of procedure, operator safety, and clearance requirements all influence airflow direction.

Applications

Personnel protection is not provided by laminar flow hoods or clean benches, as it is by biosafety cabinets. In the presence of harmful substances, they are ineffective. A biological safety cabinet should be utilized if your application concerns biohazards.

Multi-zone Assisted Reproductive Treatment Workstations are primarily used for Animal In Vitro Fertilization and Sample Handling and are generally suited for non-hazardous applications requiring a clean work environment. Positive-pressure, ISO 5 air is provided throughout the chamber and sash opening, keeping airborne particulates away from sensitive applications.

Multi-Zone heating system

Excellent uniformity is achieved thanks to ten distinct zones with their own heating elements and sensors. The heating system will prioritize power distribution automatically to provide accurate temperature regulation and quick recovery. The temperature regulation of MIRI® chambers is always on in models with MIRI® chambers, independent of mode.

  • Multiple independent heating zones, each with its own heating elements and sensors, with no crossover heating across zones.
  • Heated glass stage has a dedicated and uninterrupted power supply to further ensure temperature control and recovery.

You can turn on all zones, turn off the right zones, turn off the right and middle zones or all zones are turned off.

Microscope integration provision

  • Provision to integrate the most popular stereoscopic and inverted microscopes.
  • The work chamber's integrated stereoscope allows users to keep culture dishes at a constant temperature while observing and manipulating them. Accidents will be less likely with fewer movements.

Humidification system

The Multi-Zone ART Workstation allows for digital control of premixed gas, allowing for comprehensive sample environmental control. The table top has a gas output port, and the plastic cover will encapsulate the humidified gas, creating a mini incubator.

Energy Efficiency Chart

ECM blowers are used in Esco Assisted Reproductive Technology Workstations, enabling minimal cabinet power consumption without sacrificing cabinet performance. It also has a standby mode that helps to save energy while the cabinet is not in use.

Fully functional Windows PC with a touch screen provides real-time information on all work area parameters e.g. zone temperature performance, gas pressure, and flow rate. Here are the touchscreen monitor’s full and detailed specs:

  • Displays the temperature of the heated surface, as well as the gas flow and pressure.
  • Reports of these parameters can be generated.
  • Observe and record culture behavior in real-time via microscope camera function.
  • Enable teleconference calls with colleagues in other sites for real-time collaborative work.
